The Spring semester is just ending and so is practice for this semester. Our last performance will be for the Chicano/Hispano Graduation Convocation on May 8th (chsa.arizona.edu for information).
However, for those interested in practicing this summer, we will be having practice this summer, beginning on Monday, May 27th. We will focus on teaching new members (beginners, especially) and on teaching more advanced dances or other regions or current members.
Message us for if you have any questions!
Our first performance for the semester was the UA Finding Community Event, in which all the center and different organization come together in the Great Ballroom for Freshman to explore.
Here is our video presentation and pictures taken (Copyright of Arthur Basset, used with permission), in which Joel and Kenia perform "La Negra" and "Nuevo Guadalajara". They had not practiced nor performed since May, so not too bad :D
